Wait, forty days without PAY? That's nuts. How is that even legal? Benefits, yeah, I'm used to seeing waiting periods for that. What happens if people don't work out and leave prior to that forty days? They don't get any money for work done? *scratches head*
Ah, "vacation" with family is always a dual-edged sword. Glad you had time off, even if it sounds like you need time off from your time off. ;) When I was able to get back to the Midwest for holidays, I always made sure to schedule at least two buffer days before having to go back to work.
