Mar. 17th, 2018 10:11 amWe're two hours into my son taking Ritalin for the first time.
He did his homework. On his own. He wrote in complete sentences.
He's on a super low dose. The lowest dose is 5mg and we cut that in half.
He's still spinning around at random when he walks sometimes, but by and large he's much more controlled. He's not crashing into people and things, flailing around or randomly tackling and pulling on people (which he normally does CONSTANTLY-I have the bruises to show for it.) He seems more at ease with himself, rather than more anxious like I was worried he'd be. The only difference is that he just doesn't seem frustrated with himself, like he so often is these days.
And more importantly, he's still very much my Finnegan.
