It's been a while, but I remember the plot of Silas Marner a bit differently

"Great, Amelia.  I would love to hear your story."

"Once upon a time there was a little dinosaur and a mommy dinosaur and a daddy dinosaur."

"That sounds like a wonderful dinosaur family, Amelia.  What did the dinosaur family do?"

"EAT PEOPLE!"

I think it might be the better version, at the very least. Hey, if they could do Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, why not people-eating Silas Marner dinosaurs?
